Edition #13: Raising the Standard

Growth does not happen overnight, but the standard stays the same, and the work continues.

🚀 Milestones & Moments: Full Circle Growth

Last month, I attended the BEYA STEM Conference for the third year in a row, and each time I go, I am truly grateful for the opportunity.

It was great reconnecting with people I have built relationships with over the past three years. To go from being in IT at 19 when I first attended BEYA to now being 21 and speaking at the conference is truly a full-circle moment.

One of the biggest highlights of the conference was having the opportunity to lead a workshop for high school students. I showed them how to start a career in cybersecurity and what it actually takes to break into the field.

Being able to give back and pour into the next generation is something that always means a lot to me. Thank you to BEYA for the opportunity.

On the career side, I officially booked my SC 200 exam and will be taking it in April. I also have a few projects in the pipeline that I am excited to announce soon, so be on the lookout.

This past month has been steady for me as I continue to progress into Q2.

🌍 The Youngest in Charge Playbook

I’m excited to share that The Youngest In Charge Playbook will officially be released next week.

I know I’ve mentioned different timelines before on when the playbook would be out, and I apologize for that. I take full ownership. But this time it will actually be coming out next week.

This playbook is a guide to help you level up in your career, improve your health and wellness, and move toward financial freedom. It’s been in the works for months, and I’m excited to finally bring it to life.

Inside, you’ll find the same tools, strategies, and mindset that have helped me along my path.

🛡️Cybersecurity Update: Federal Agencies Ordered to Stop Using Anthropic

Federal agencies have been ordered to cease using Anthropic tools. While this is not directly tied to a cyber attack, decisions like this matter because AI is increasingly used inside government systems, and any restriction affects how security teams manage risk and compliance.

🔒Breach One, Teach One

This month I focused on how data breaches, ransomware attacks, and security flaws continue to impact platforms people use every day, from healthcare systems to music apps to even app stores. Whether it is exposed user data or insecure applications, it underscores the importance of staying alert and understanding how these threats evolve.

💪Your Health is Your Greatest Asset

I’ve always been told you don’t know what you have until it’s measured. Whether it’s your own data, budgeting, or even something like followers, tracking things helps you understand where you stand and how to improve.

The same applies to your health. Tracking sleep, recovery, heart rate, and daily activity gives you real feedback. Numbers do not lie. When you are able to look at the data, it allows you to adjust your habits and improve your performance in real time.

Here are a few options for tracking your health.

🗓️Upcoming Events

BEYA Career Day:

On March 14th at 12 PM EST, I’ll be joining other student ambassadors live on the BEYA YouTube channel for Career Day, an open conversation centered around STEM careers, student journeys, and growth in the tech space.

Question of the Month

What is one technical habit or skill you built that helped you level up faster in your career?

📚What I’m Reading This Month

This month, I am reading The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. The book focuses on overcoming resistance and making the shift from thinking about doing the work to actually committing to it

🔹Resource Spotlight: Captions AI

If you create content consistently, you know how the editing process can take longer than recording the video itself lol.

Instead of spending hours editing, I use Captions. It’s an AI video editor that saves me a lot of time. Captions edits your videos for you, gives suggestions to improve your content, and provides different templates so the process stays simple and efficient.
